Policies The following is a list of The Casting Network policies:
- All Workshop Funds Sales are Final and Must Be Used Within 12 Months from Date of Purchase after which time any remaining balance will expire. And effective as of May 1, 2010 all Discount packs have restricted time limits that are clealy stated at time of purchase . It is you're right to cancel and obtain a full refund, as long as you haven't used any portion of your funds, without any penalty or obligation, if notice of cancellation is given, in writing, within 10 business days from the date of purchase. For purposes of this section, business days are Monday through Friday.
- All sessions start promptly. Actors must sign in 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time. If you are running late you MUST call the EMERGENCY LATE LINE at 818-980-6980 and inform the monitor to keep your spot, or your spot might be given away 5 minutes before the workshop begins. Being late without notice forfeits space & workshop fee! (Before you leave to attend any workshop it's advisable to check the website, your emails and phone messages to see if the workshop start time has changed or has been unexpectedly canceled.)
- All new members are on a 60-day trial basis.
- Members who have not attended TCN in 1 year may be asked to re-audition.
- Visa, MC, Discover and AMEX are accepted as payment via the Paypal.com payment processor.
- CANCELLATION POLICY
- All workshops require a minimum of 48 hrs cancellation notice from the start time of the session, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, to receive credit back into your account. Important: Some workshops do require up to a week's cancellation notice. Actors should note when they RSVP, the cancellation requirement for that particular session. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
- To cancel on the website, go into your Home Base, locate the name of the workshop you want to cancel, and click the "X" at the end of the name.
- Agent Night/Talent Showcase bNight - For any workshop where prepared work is allowed, you may bring in a non-member to work with you, BUT they will also be required to pay for the cost of the workshop. Monologues should be under 2.5 minutes, prepared scenes under 4 minutes. You will be timed! When you sign up for any Showcase event when the Industry guests are not providing material or where you have a choice -after you RSVP you will see a blinking red light "SCENE INFO REQUESTED" please click that on and fill in ALL the information so we know what you are performing -if you have a scene and need a partner-we will try to connect you to one another- Note: You cannot do a full 2 person scene with just an off-stage reader as it is distracting to the Agents/CD's and not fair to everyone else-if you want to be alone on stage, then just do a short monologue.
- We also always have great 2 person scenes that we can supply you with as well. Please fill in this vital information as soon as you sign up so we have time to help you to get the right material.
- Do not leave before the workshop is over, unless TCN is aware of the need.
- NEVER CALL any of our guests prior to their workshop appearance.
- Call TCN with questions.
Waitlist Policy
When a class is sold out, actors who RSVP online are put on the waitlist for that class instead of on the roster. As spaces become available, paid waitlisted actors will automatically be put into the class in the order in which they are waitlisted. Actors are notified via email up to one hour before scheduled classtime, and will be charged the full workshop fee once they are bumped in. Members are urged to check their email the day of the class to see if they have been automatically bumped in. Actors are urged to remove themsleves from the waitlist in accordance with the cancellation policy if they cannot attend, to prevent being inadvertently charged for a class for which they are no longer available.
Stand-by Policy
The stand-by list is different from the waitlist. Standbys can arrive in person up to one hour before class and place themselves (and only themselves) on the standby list. Five minutes before class, in the event of no-shows, standbys paying cash at the door are accepted to fill the vacant spots in the order in which they arrived. A waitlisted actor who is not accepted into the class online may still try to come to the class in person as a standby by signing up on the standby list. Having previously been on the waitlist does not take precedence over the standby list - it is first-come- first-served at the door.
