Help and Most Frequently Asked Questions about the new Website
We would first like to thank you all for your continued support of workshop for 20 years and counting.. Our goal was to bring you a website comparable to our reputation in the industry, one that looks great, with lots of added features you will love... but FREE, with no activation or monthly fees and one that you will all use! Please help us by keeping us informed of any user problems you might have. Here's everything you should need to get started now...

Logging In
Your email on file, the one you always used for your account with us, will be your new User ID. Actors logging in should always leave the Guest checkbox unchecked. After you log in you will be automatically in your Home Base or your own Home Page.
Changing Your Password
All actors have a default password welcome - please change this to whatever you prefer once you have logged in. Any password you choose will be secure; should you forget it later, let us know and we can always reset it to welcome.
I've tried but I still can't login...?
Several issues are possible, including mistyping. But if you have not been an active member for a long time and you had a zero balance, or your balance was older than 1 year and expired, it is possible that your email will not be recognized, so you may not be able to log in to the new site. Simply let us know by email castingnetwork@castingnetwork.net and we will set you up with a new actor account. Be sure to let us know the email address (i.e., User ID) that you will be using with us. As before, only actor members - those who have auditioned and been accepted - have login access to our website.
What is the Actor Home Base Page?
This is the where you arrive after login. Your Home Base is where the majority of your common functions are all found - checking your balance, editing your profile, adding funds, adding a workshop,canceling a workshop; check your upcoming workshop RSVPs, your history...
Actor Profiles
Once logged in, please begin by completing your new actor Profile online. Simply use the Edit Profile link at the top of your actor Home Base page. Change your password, update your contact info, etc... But we need your help to fill this in as completely as possible so that we can better help you. Please edit your new profile page with the types of guests and projects you'd most like to see. Your ethnicity, your reel/website, and whether you are fluent in other languages are all useful info which should be noted here. List your Special Skills -- surfing and prior baseball experience are sports that 2 visiting guests specifically told us they were looking for among our actors within the last couple of months alone. You can check multiple age range boxes (at your own peril); please be realistic when selecting age(s) in order to minimize complaints from our guests. The Links boxes should contain the web addresses where your IMBD and Breakdowns pages are found; please type the complete addresses in carefully so that guests can easily be linked directly to your pages. Your completed profile also helps us inform you of particular workshops that target your needs and events that will specifically offer you the best results. In the days to come, you'll also be able to add your favorite pics here. Be sure to check the "Newsletters" box found in your Profile to remain on our mailing list, and be the first to receive calendar news, discounts and specials.
What About My Previous Balance on the Old Site?
Your current balance is the first thing you will see on your Home Base below your name once you are signed in. All transactions have been safely transferred to the new website. All account balances should be up-to-date, including all your attendance recorded during our blackout period plus any workshops attended since. Account histories have been thoroughly checked;But remember if your credit was more than 1 year old it would be expired. Simply use the History link at the top of the page to view all transaction detail and all workshops attended prior to today.
How do I View entire calendar and RSVP to Workshops online?
To see complete listing of all scheduled workshops click on Calendar-located at the top of website-next click on PRINTABLE CALENDAR . Then To RSVP use the QuickAdd dropdown menu at the top of your Profile/Home page; using QuickAdd will add you to each workshop you want. The sooner you begin signing up, the sooner we'll have you reserved! You'll immediately see all your future workshops added to your enrollments listed that you've added. Canceling your RSVP is also as easy as clicking the reservation's "x" to delete the reservation from your enrollment list. Be careful when you RSVP; as before, please be aware that you will not be credited back for any cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled workshop time.
How can I add funds to my account online?
For those with insufficient funds for a particular workshop, the system will prompt you to add funds prior to RSVP. Simply use the Add Funds link at the top of the page to add funds via PayPal. You c purchase designated dollar amounts starting with $30 but please look for the discount packs: Get $150 but pay only $130, or Get $300 but pay only $250. Please note, adding funds via PayPal simply adds money to your account. It does not reserve your place in a workshop; after funds are successfully added, you must still RSVP using the steps above. You are reserved in a workshop if the workshop appears in your enrollment list. In addition to a history of previous workshops attended, any funds added will also be recorded on your History page of transactions.
Do you offer discounts?
Under Add Funds, look for our bulk-rate Discount Packs:
Pay $130 and Get $150-save $20
pay $250 and get $300-save $50
Pay $505 and get $625-save $120
I added funds but don't see myself added to the workshop...
Please note, adding funds via PayPal simply adds money to your account. It does not reserve your place in a workshop; after funds are successfully added, you must still RSVP using the steps above. You are reserved in a workshop if the workshop appears in your enrollment list. How do I Cancel my RSVP?
To CANCEL yourself out of a workshop, click on the "x" next to the workshop RSVP found under your Home Base Page. Remember all cancellations require a 48 hour advance cancellation in order to receive credit.
How do I add my headshots?
Use the Headshots link on your Home Base profile menu. There you can upload pictures, change your pictures, and set your default profile picture. The site only accepts jpg, png or gif files smaller than 500K for uploading. You can also separately change the picture that the Industry Guest sees for each workshop on your Home Base profile page. Click on the thumbnail of the picture that appears next to each workshop RSVP from your enrollment list of workshops. The picture that appears as the thumbnail for each RSVP is the picture that guest will see online.
Can I change which pictures the Casting Director will see?
Yes, go to your Home Page where your workshop RSVPs are found. Click on the thumbnail of the picture for that specific guest's RSVP from your workshop enrollment list. Select from any of the pictures previously uploaded on your Headshots page. The picture that appears as the thumbnail for that guest's workshop is the one the guest will see online.
