The Casting Network was started in 1989 by wonderful actors for wonderful actors. We sought to give actors the opportunity to meet and network with the industry people they most wanted and needed to meet with the hope to further their careers.
We have been voted Best Industry Showcase by BackStage West in 2005.
Our visiting guests cast some of the hottest projects in TV and Film. These include Ironman 2, Mad Men, Lost, Criminal Minds, Monk, soaps, and many indies.
We are best known for our "Cold-Reading" workshops. The format of these workshops changes depending on the guest''s preferences; one might read one-on-one with the guest, or with partner(s) appropriate for your scene who are selected by the guest.
Every month, we also typically offer our popular Agent Showcase as well as a Talent Showcase. Both events feature a panel of industry guests; at these showcases, we also welcome your prepared scenes and monologues, should you prefer.
